This Wiki was developed and is being maintained by Ms. Mary Blain, LA Challenge teacher at Windham Middle School. This Wiki is designed to be used by her students to showcase their poetry.
Students in the 8th grade Language Arts Challenge class wrote original poems as part of their poetry unit. Many of the poems are modeled after types of poems that they read in class: riddle poems, found poems, "I Am" poems, poems that included lists of metaphors, and poems that told about who they are and where they are from. Some students included more difficult poetic forms such as ballads. This website was designed to give them an opportunity to publish and to discuss their poetry.
